THE MISSION OF THE AMERICAN RED CROSS:

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers and guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundmental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disaster and help people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies.

The American Red Cross offers many services:

 Disaster Relief  Disaster Preparedness/Speaking Engagements  Armed Forces Emergency Services  CPR & First Aid Training  Water Safety Programs  International Humanitarian Services/Disaster Welfare Inquiry  HIV/AIDS Education

THE AMERICAN RED CROSS VOLUNTEER:

An individual who, beyond the defines of paid employment and normal responsibilities, contributes time and service to assist the American Red Cross in the accomplishment of its mission.
